Pamela M. Lyons is Vice President, Community Preservation and Development Corporation (CPDC) and is responsible for the development and direction of CPDC’s community and economic development business strategy. She directs the strategic planning and development of CPDC’s Community Development Departments and provides day-to-day leadership and management for all sites. Key to the success of her work at CPDC is the identification and building of partnerships with private sector groups and local government agencies that provide economic opportunities and resources for development efforts, and raising additional capital to enable Programs to meet objectives.
Ms. Lyons graduated from The American University, Washington, DC.
Bishop Henry N. Cole, (Rex) is a fifth generation native Washingtonian and the Senior Pastor and founder of Breath of Life Ministries, Inc. Christian Fellowship. He is also a founding member of The Chesapeake Regional College of Bishops, where he serves on the Board as the Supervisor of Bishop-Elects.
His professional life of service began by serving on the Metropolitan Police Department at age nineteen. After 15 years of dedicated service, Bishop Cole retired in from the Metropolitan Police Department. He has received training by the MPD, FBI, Secret Service, and FAA-Crisis Management.
Bishop Rex accepted his call to the ministry at Reid Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church, under the leadership of his father in the ministry, Rev. Dr. Lee P. Washington, where he served as a Steward. He was licensed as a minister in 1989 and was ordained as Local Deacon in April of 1992. While at Reid Temple, he was appointed as the Youth Minister where he developed and implemented a holistic Youth Ministry.
Michael Priester, Ph.D. is Director of Residential Treatment and Associated School at the Jefferson School. Dr. Priester earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University; he completed his residency in Clinical Psychology at The Institute of Living Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. He has been associated with Sheppard Pratt Health System since 2001 and has served in a variety of clinical leadership positions in residential programs in the health system. Prior to his joining the Health System, Dr. Priester was Director of Residential Treatment at Chestnut Lodge Hospital, directing a Residential Treatment Center and two Group Homes. He has a variety of publications involving adolescent and young adult depression and suicide prevention.
C. Anthony Cusack is the CEO of QSack & Associates, a metropolitan Washington, D.C. area professional and technical services company. Mr. Cusack has an MBA from American University and holds memberships in National Small Business Council, International Rotary and National Defense Industrial Association. Mr. Cusack has managed major Defense Department technical contracts and worked in the Pentagon as Technical Advisor to the Deputy Administrative Assistant, Office of the Secretary of the Army.
Joshua L. De Vree is an adjunct professor of psychology at Hagerstown Community College and Frederick Community College. Mr. De Vree has an M.A. in Thanatology from Hood College and is a member of Psi Chi National Honors Fraternity. He has been a guest speaker at the University of Maryland’s counselor education program and is a Resource Specialist at a residential treatment facility.
Professor De Vree is certified in Wilderness First Aid and regularly leads groups of adolescents on nature walks designed to provide an appreciation for nature in a serene setting not often experienced by at-risk youth. He has been working with adolescents for over five years.
